The MacNelly room sits between Robert McCormick’s and Joseph Patterson’s offices, and once housed their assistants. Now it is a small lounge area with walls adorned with the works of legendary Chicago Tribune editorial cartoonist Jeff MacNelly.

The Joseph Patterson Board Room occupies what was once Joseph Medill Patterson’s office, the founder and longtime publisher of the New York Daily News. Unlike Colonel Robert McCormick’s office, none of Patterson’s furnishings or effects have been retained.
This statue is a recent addition to the Nathan Hale lobby. It was brought over from EGI, Tribune CEO Sam Zell’s investment firm, to symbolize the new culture.
